Mailbeez is proud and pleased to announce the release of Mailbeez v2.5, which is now available to download across the site for all new and existing users. Featuring a number of exciting improvements and generic framework enhancements, more than ever, it affirms Mailbeez as the ideal post-sale email marketing software for proactive online retailers.

Requested features get the green light

One of the most requested features for v2.5 was the introduction of an email unsubscribe reverser. In the latest version, if a customer clicks unsubscribe, they can reverse the unsubscribe in case they have a change of heart.

For stores that regularly send out large campaigns, there is now a ‘Kill Process’ button in case the administrator wishes to amend the email campaign whilst it is being sent out, perhaps in order to make some edits if there is an error in the email content.

All the new features in v2.5:

  • Reversible unsubscribe – customers can unblock their email address from the linked unsubscribe page if they wish to resubscribe
  • “Kill Process” button designed to stop long sending processes in case the administrator wishes to amend the email campaign (configuration > process control)
  • Design improvements and new dashboard icons
  • New status indicator that clearly displays production or simulation mode in a prominent position in the Mailbeez dashboard
  • Generic framework enhancements
  • New default email layout at a new, inbox friendly 600px width
  • ZenCart: option to override Zencarts email template system to give full layout control to MailBeez
  • ZenCart: When using Zencart’s email templates, the system will now try to use email / email_template_mailbeez.html. If that does not exist, the email_template_default.html is applied
  • Support for CRE 6.2 (not tested)
  • Support for commerce:SEO
  • Mailbeez copyright footer now appears in all free to use module emails – easily removed with the MailBeez Copyright Remover Certificate module

Advanced enhancements

For Mailbeez v2.5, some of the at first rather bland ‘framework enhancements’ are actually pretty far-reaching, especially for Advanced Mailbeez module users. We’ll blog about this as the new Advanced module versions become available, but for now, rest assured that Mailbeez has a specific road-map for enhancing ease of use; the results of which will give you some pretty amazing tools to really get a handle on your email campaigns.
