Basic Configuration

Go to your admin-interface and select “MailBeez” from your “Tools”-Box (or where you inserted the link)

The first time you will see an “Install” button, which, taking CRE Loaded as an example, looks like this:

When the button is pressed, the necessary database table will be created and the configuration initiated.

You will now see the MailBeez basic screen which again in CRE Loaded looks like this:

Click on the tab “Configuration”

The first item “MailHive – Basic Configuration” is quite self explanatory, and controls the basic configuration for MailBeez:

Let the MailBeez work for you
Select either true or false to turn the module on or off: Active (True) or not active (False)

When not active (set to false), no MailBeez Modules will be processed and no emails sent.

Mode
production: emails are sent out, tracking is active
simulate: emails to copy address only, tracking is inactive

Simulation mode is perfect for testing your campaigns, easily allowing you to check which customer would receive an email, whilst sending copies to yourself in order to check the personalization.

Send copy
Set to “True” if you want to receive a copy of each email to a copy address

Sent copy to
Enter your email address

Max. number of copy-emails sent per MailBeez Module
This setting controls the number of copy emails which are sent per MailBeez module to “Sent copy to”. After reaching this limit the MailBeez Module will continue to send emails without copies.

Security Token – for internal use only
A security token designed to protect public Mailhive, whch you can either leave as the default value or set to whatever you like.

If you do change this value you need to adjust your cronjobs (see below) to the new URL

Google Analytics

Configure the Google Analytics Integration

If you choose “shop”, only URLs to your shop will be rewritten. If you choose “all”, all URLs will be rewritten. This setting can be changed on a per module basis if the module supports it (like the birthday module as an example).

You can disable URL rewriting in the generated email link if you insert a blank into the href=” statement in the anchor-tag (in the template and/or text):

Popups

Configure how popups in the Mailbeez admin work in this section. We would recommend to change this only if you are having issues with the CeeBox AJAX overlay popups.

Run MailBeez automatically

Purchase (or call it “donation”) and Install the Module “Run MailBeez automatically“.The Installation is hassle free and the setup very easy.

Start the MailBeez Magic with the easy to install addon Run MailBeez automatically. This module is very easy to install, requiring just a single addition to your FTP and a simple modification of your store – documentation included.

This module will then process all MailBeez modules as often as configured and works perfectly. If of course you do run into any issues then please let us know.
 

For advanced users, you can also set up a Cronjob for triggering MailBeez. Please be aware though that some merchants have been reporting issues running MailBeez with a file-path call!
