There comes a time in the life of every retailer when that button needs to be pushed. Whether sales are a tad slow, stock is piling high, or simply because you are feeling generous, having the ability to email every customer with a personalized discount code in one fell swoop is a mighty fine thing, and the Mailbeez Send Coupon Campaign module is the tool to use to push that button.
Please read! This module will send out an email to every customer in your database. Please check with your website host if you have limitations in place over how many emails you are allowed to send out per hour or day. If you have limitations, you will need the Throttling Addon to control the send rate.
Total control with automated expiry reminders
The advantage of sending out a coupon campaign instead of simply embedding a coupon within a newsletter for example, is that the Coupon Campaign module actively tracks to which customer a coupon was sent, giving you the ability to send a coupon expiry reminder email at a later date to say something like: “only 5 days left to use your coupon” – done and doubly done.
The Coupon Campaign module will send to:
- all customers
- or all customers with an order with a given status in a given time frame
You can define a timeframe when this module is active. So when you have configured MailBeez to run automatically, it will send out the campaign during this timeframe.
Once the email is sent, each customer will receive the configured coupon only once, so if you do want to send a new campaign, you need to setup a NEW coupon (do not edit the existing coupon).
Configuration options
Start Date of Campaign
The Campaign will be ready to send out starting from this date. If you have configured MailBeez to run automatically, the sending will start the next time after this date. The module appears inactive before this date, but the status must be set to “True”
End Date of Campaign
The Campaign will end after this date – the modules status becomes inactive even if the status is set to “True”
Set Order Status
Set the status of orders to send a coupon, you can choose one or multiple order status
Set days passed (last Order)
number of days since last order after which to include the customer for the coupon campaign. Leave empty for sending the campaign to all customers
Set days to skip after (last Order)
number of days after which do skip the coupon campaign. Leave empty for sending the campaign to all customers
Choose Coupon
Choose the coupon code as you have configured in the coupon system. This coupon will be used as template to generate a personalized, unique coupon.
The coupon code must start with ‘template_’ e.g. ‘template_campaign_992011′
NOTE: For each coupon campaign you need to set up a new coupon template, you cannot reuse an existing coupon template by just modifying it. The system tracks based on the coupon id which customer has already received that specific coupon, so editing an existing coupon would send out the campaign only to new customers since the last sending.
Expires after days:
number of days after which the coupon expires – calculated from the sending point of time.
Length of Coupon Code
length of automatically generated coupon code
